Encouragment for the Grieving Heart

In times if darkness, lost hope, devastation, or anger…where there is no understanding…where you can’t see the way out, I pray the Lord surrounds you and that you feel His nearness.

He weeps with you as the rain falls.

He welcomes your anger, your questions of why.

He, in time, will provide understanding and insurmountable peace.

He knows what you’re walking through is not easy.

Grief does not have a linear timeline. Let it have its time, as much as you need, remembering that it does not have the authority to hold power over you.

There is a light, a hope, in the distance – behind the rain clouds.

The storm does truly pass.

In the meantime, He weeps with you.

He welcomes your tears and frustrations.

He provides comfort in the worst of times.

He knows this world is not what it was originally designed to be.

He knows there is life beyond death…beyond the life we live right now.

I pray His love constantly washes over you in the weeks to come.

I pray He would provide countless times for you to see how He is working.

You are not forsaken, forgotten, or abandoned.

He walks alongside you, before you, and behind you.

He is near.

He weeps with you as the rain falls.
